The United Methodist Men will hold their monthly meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, October 27, beginning with dinner (BBQ chicken, potatoes, green beans) at 6:00 pm. We'll view a very inspiring video about the life of Payne Stewart, a professional golfer who died in 1999 in a plane crash. All men of the church are invited. These meetings usually end by 7:30 pm.

During Sunday School (9:45-10:45) and during the 11 o'clock worship, children ages infant to 2 years old are welcome in our nursery (Room 103, lower level). Children 3 years old through 5th grade are invited to participate in Sunday School (9:45-10:45) and to stay for the 11 o'clock worship in the sanctuary for the Children's Moment, a short lesson based on the pastor's sermon topic. Then the children go downstairs for Children's Church. Parents and guardians should pick up their preschoolers in Room 104 and the older children in the Music Room after worship. PLEASE USE THE SIGNOUT SHEET WHEN PICKING UP YOUR CHILDREN.
The 6th annual Warming of the Hearts of the Community event will be held on November 12th from 11:00 – 2:00. We will be serving soup, chili, and grilled cheese sandwiches to everyone who comes. Each person will get a new or gently used coat. We will have blankets, new socks, toboggans, gloves, scarves and hygiene kits.
Last year we served approximately 195 people and this year, due to the economy, we are expecting more to come.
ZUMC members and visitors can help by doing any of the following:
There is a signup sheet in the ZUMC Narthex for volunteering and a box in the Fellowship Hall for donations. If you have questions, contact Cindy Privette at 919-601-1575 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Sunday night, November 13, we present our third gospel concert of the year featuring the Carlson Trio from Grimesland NC and Wakefield Five from the Raleigh area. The Carlson Trio sings all over the state and region. Wakefield Five, who presented a concert here in 2015, are back with a Christmas repertoire. These two men's groups love the Lord and sing His praises with energy, humor, and style. This night promises to be one of joy and celebration. The concert is free but a love offering will be received. Doors will open at 5:30 pm with the concert beginning at 6:30 pm
